Beard Engine Brewing Company

Beard Engine Brewing Co. is a craft brewery and taproom on Main Street in Alba with a setting that blends an English pub with steampunk style. It brews mainly English and European beers by hand, using malt and hops from the East Anglia region of England and traditional Old English recipes, and it avoids freezing or pasteurizing its beer. Beers have included The Clash, a flagship vanilla cream ale with a cream soda character; Chap chocolate milk stout, another original flagship; Penny Dreadful, an amber lager made with poblano and serrano peppers roasted in house; Queens Guard London lager with Kent Golding hops; Just a Bit extra special bitter; Balderdash Northern English brown ale; and a Märzen. Seasonals have included a pumpkin ale and gluten-free sours in its pHunk series. The taproom bills itself as a destination brewery, with live music and food trucks.
