Before and After Brewing

Before and After Brewing is an owner-operated neighborhood hangout in Springfield that serves a full coffee menu, food, cocktails, eclectic wines and non-alcoholic drinks and, almost as an aside, brews its own beer. It is a nanobrewery that makes beer in very small batches, by design: owners David and Doug previously worked in a production and distribution brewery and have no interest in going back to that scale. The food is described as elevated bar fare that balances healthy and indulgent choices, served fast-casual style, with orders placed at the counter rather than through wait staff. Because the owners handle most shifts themselves, opening hours are limited. It skips third-party delivery services. Pets are welcome on the smoke-free patio, and the space can be booked for private parties.
