Lake of the Ozarks Brewing Company

Lake of the Ozarks Brewing Company, known as LOZ Brewing Co., is a family-owned microbrewery and restaurant in Osage Beach. Brewmaster Jacob Schuster got his first homebrew kit at 21 and kept brewing through college. In 2013 he introduced his future father-in-law, Rick Weber, to the hobby, and together they made beer for the rehearsal dinner and bottled more as centerpieces and gifts for the wedding reception. They brewed in a garage on a five-gallon system until 2018, moved up to a ten-gallon setup to sharpen their recipes, and in January 2019 bought property to open the brewery. LOZ names and describes its beers after the history of Lake of the Ozarks. The brewery likes trying new recipes, and guests can watch brewing from an observation deck. It serves pints, flights, growlers and cans with food, has a pet-friendly backyard and patio, and hosts events.
