Trail Stop Brewery
About
Trail Stop Brewery is a Columbia brewpub built around beer, pizza and pickleball. It sits just south of Hinkson Creek, a short walk across a bridge from the MKT Trail near the Jay Dix Station trailhead. The idea came from two local doctors, Bill and Bob, who wanted a gathering place for friends and family in southwest Columbia. Founder Bill Kinney left a 27-year career as an ENT surgeon to start it, and co-founder Bob Zitsch is a longtime Columbia resident and beekeeper. The beer is brewed on site with guidance from an internationally recognized brewmaster, using ingredients from around the world with a local twist. The kitchen takes simple comfort food and makes it with fresh, locally sourced ingredients where possible. Outdoor pickleball courts are open daily, weather permitting, and the brewery hosts parties, team lunches and other large gatherings and also pours wine.
