Flat Branch Pub and Brewing

Flat Branch Pub & Brewing opened in downtown Columbia on April 18, 1994, becoming the city’s first brewery since 1841 and billing itself as Columbia’s original brewpub. The pub takes its name from a nearby creek that supplied water to Columbia’s earliest settlers. Its home is a brick warehouse built in 1927, topped by a curved, barrel-trussed roof, that once housed a Hudson car dealership. Guests can sit inside, on a large outdoor patio or at the bar. Flat Branch brews its own award-winning beers on site and pairs them with a wide menu of food made fresh by hand, from pub standards such as catfish and chips or bratwurst and kraut to its signature charbroiled romaine salad, with breads and desserts baked in house. The bar also stocks a large selection of single malt scotches and small-batch bourbons for after dinner.
