Muddy Banks Brewing Company

Muddy Banks Brewing Company is a veteran-owned craft brewery and restaurant in Sullivan, named for the muddy banks along the creeks and rivers of the Meramec River country. Co-owner Mitch grew up in nearby Stanton along the Meramec, then served in the Navy with the Ceremonial Guard in Washington, D.C., and as a gas turbine technician aboard the USS Lassen before coming home to build a gathering place. Co-owners Drake, a Marine Corps veteran who took up homebrewing, and his wife, Makayla, both grew up in Sullivan and returned after years in North Carolina to give back to their hometown. The kitchen cooks family-friendly fare with house-made seasonings, sauces and sides, including smash burgers, house-made sausages, brisket sandwiches and hand-cut fries fried in beef tallow, with beef sourced locally from 2M Beef and smoked in house.
