Iron Hops Brewing

Iron Hops Brewing is a St. Louis brewery on Produce Row led by head brewer and owner Chad Thompson. Rather than starting from a style guideline, Thompson begins with the flavor and drinking experience he wants and works backward, and the brewery chooses not to be bound by style rules, so he can use whatever ingredients and techniques a beer calls for. Thompson spent more than a decade managing at Robust wine bar during a long St. Louis food and beverage career, and he holds an International Diploma in Brewing Technology from the Siebel Institute and Doemens Academy. The lineup has included Chicken Hawk amber IPA, Soothsayer weizenbock, Borealis pale ale, a chocolate oatmeal imperial stout and Kaw-Kaw lager, with seasonals such as an Oktoberfest. Iron Hops beer is poured at bars, restaurants and shops across the St. Louis area.
