Old Bridgeview Brewing
About
Old Bridgeview Brewing sits on the historic riverfront in downtown Washington and calls itself Missouri’s first community brewery. Its owners, Eric, Fair, Brad and Jarrod, have set a goal of making it the state’s first cooperative brewery, owned by members who join voluntarily. As a community brewery, it also opens its equipment to talented aspiring brewers who lack the gear to showcase their own recipes, so new beers rotate through regularly. The lineup shifts with the seasons and has ranged from English browns and blondes to sours, IPAs, Irish and oatmeal stouts, porters and big imperial stouts. The brewery leans on locally sourced ingredients and skips gelatin and other fining agents used to clarify beer. It runs in the beer hall style common to microbreweries, where guests order at the bar and are often greeted by one of the owners.
