Point Labaddie Brewery
About
Point Labaddie Brewery is a small brewery and taproom in the Franklin County town of Labadie. Its tap list leans toward Belgian styles, with beers that have included a dry Belgian-style golden ale, Saison Du Labaddie and Lost Goat Pale Ale, named for a goat that wandered over from a neighbor’s property in the brewery’s early months. Several beers pay tribute to bluegrass musicians, among them Foggy Mountain, a hazy IPA for banjo player Earl Scruggs, and Goodle Day IPA for John Hartford. The brewery also makes apple ciders with unusual yeasts and ages some beers in barrels from local distillers, such as a rye whiskey barrel-aged imperial stout. Beer is served by the glass on site and in growlers to go, along with local wine and non-alcoholic drinks. Regular events have included Wednesday trivia nights and Friday jam sessions where guests can bring an instrument.
