2nd Shift Brewing

2nd Shift Brewing is a family-owned brewery in St. Louis that began when founder Steve Crider received a home brewing kit for Christmas. He kept experimenting with flavors and aromas in his spare time until brewing, his second shift, turned into his career, and the brewery takes its name from that story. Steve runs the business with his wife and partner, Libby, and a small team. 2nd Shift brews one-of-a-kind recipes across many styles, from its flagship and seasonal beers to non-alcoholic offerings, and it now operates from a location on Sublette Avenue. The taproom includes a food space called the Mess Hall, and the brewery hosts its own events and pop-up markets, takes private event bookings and offers online ordering and gift cards. The brewery’s tone is playful, with a stated mission of making beers that hit the senses as hard as battle bots hit each other.
