River Trails Bierwerks

River Trails Bierwerks is a small-batch craft brewery in Kearney that sets out to be a relaxed gathering spot for neighbors, travelers and friends. Its taproom pours a rotating lineup of its own ales and lagers alongside guest taps from Kansas City area breweries, plus wine, a few mixed drinks and non-alcoholic choices. The brewery aims for approachable, carefully made beer and conversation without pretension, and it plans to keep adding styles as it reinvests in its equipment. Beers have included Black Sails dry Irish stout, Cold Plunge pale kellerbier, a Sichuan witbier called Mutual Assault, a light pale ale called Sun Up/Sun Down, a brown ale named HIVEMIND made with local honey from Angle Acres, and Bot Wrangler, a double dry-hopped imperial IPA. Community events are central to the taproom, which has hosted bingo nights and invites yoga instructors, live bands and hobby groups to propose gatherings.
