Smoke Brewing Company

Smoke Brewing Company was the first combined barbecue and brewery restaurant in downtown Lee’s Summit, pairing competition-style barbecue with craft beer brewed in house. It grew out of a family tradition passed from father to son: Jeff and Josh Edwards had built houses together and cooked barbecue together before they began brewing, and they opened the restaurant with Lanni Edwards. The kitchen serves award-winning ribs, brisket and burnt ends along with signature dishes like a Nashville chicken sandwich and smoked meatloaf, and weekend brunch adds biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles and breakfast burritos. House beers have included Keltic Kross Irish red, Shelter in Haze hazy IPA and Black Udder milk stout, and the bar also mixes cocktails such as a brown sugar bourbon old fashioned. Smoke caters events with meats and sides by the pound, and its connected Barrel Room hosts private parties of up to 70 guests.
